The Circuit of the Americas opened in 2012 and has experienced tremendous success. With annual revenues near $500 million, the multi-purpose motorsports and event venue has been an economic windfall for the area, as well as Texas.It’s the only purpose-built facility in the U.S. to host the FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX™ through 2021 and V8 SUPERCARS from 2013-2018. It will be the only FIA-certified Grade 1 track in the United States, and one of only 26 Grade 1-certified motorsports facilities in the world.
McKinney Roughs Nature Park is yet another fantastic national park gem for hikers, horseback riders, and nature-goers in general. It is located in Cedar Park Texas. Just 13 miles east of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The fascinating thing about this park is that it is home to four ecosystems! You can actually see the change in ecosystems depending where you are on the trail.There are stunning vistas when you come out on some ridges.
The Dinosaur Park features a unique outdoor museum setting. While most museums have dinosaur skeletons, our realistic life-size dinosaur replicas show skin and color variations to give a better understanding as to how they looked when alive. These statues range in size from the 2-foot long Compsognathus to the 85-foot long Brachiosaurus.
Looking for a great swimming hole Krause Springs it’s probably one the best kept secrets in Austin. Natural springs fill a concrete swimming pool on the upper part of the property and the runoff flows via waterfall into the lagoon-like swimming hole down below.You definitely don’t feel like you’re in Central Texas when you spend a day out here.
